GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 29

The Easter vigil will draw to a close as we offer a simple and solemn service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, with a shared reading of Jesus’ passion, brief meditations and prayers.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE

6:00 AM

Welcome Easter Morning with the sunrise service! Gather for Ecumenical service at 6:00 am, at Salisbury Beach Reservation (first parking lot, then follow walkway to pavilion) to greet the day and celebrate our new life in Christ.



EASTER WORSHIP SERVICE

10:30 AM

Traditional Easter worship service will be held at Central Congregational Church at 10:30 am. with communion and Flowering of the Cross."

New Member Classes

“It doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, or where you are on life’s journey—you are welcome here; we invite you to participate with our community at prayer.”

New Member Classes will be held on Sundays, April 14 & 21 and on May 5, following worship (approximately 11:30 am) in the Grimes Room. These classes are a great way to not only learn about the church but also meet others who are new to the church and also meet some of our church leaders. Sign up by contacting the church office or speak with Rev. Chris. Those who wish to join will be received into membership on Pentecost Sunday, May 19. Please contact the church office to sign up, or speak with Rev. Chris for more information.

If you are interested in making a special donation to support the Afghan family that Central Church is assisting, we have set-up a specific fund that you can donate to using our on-line giving system. Follow these easy steps through the Central Church website:

Prayer Concerns

If you have a prayer concern this week, please send an email to Chris at chris@centralnewburyport.org by the end of the day Saturday or complete a prayer request card available in the Sanctuary and give it to a Deacon before worship service begins. Your prayer concern will be mentioned in the Sunday Worship by first name only, for privacy concerns. Thank You!

Health & Safety Information

Masks are optional during worship and other activities, but are recommended for those who are high risk. We encourage anyone who chooses to wear a mask to do so at any time. We ask that anyone who has symptoms of cold or flu stay home and participate in worship remotely. Masks and hand sanitizers are available in the Sanctuary. We continue to monitor guidelines from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and local public safety/public health officials to ensure the continued health and safety of all Central Congregational Church members, visitor and guests.
