At Central Church, worship is traditional and structured, but not formal and stodgy.

We believe that God wants us to bring our whole selves into worship because there is no part of our lives or creation that is outside God’s loving care. God is not afraid of our tough questions and God responds with grace, even when we make mistakes. That’s the message we share each week in worship through prayers, songs, scripture, and preaching.

New to Central Church?

– WHAT TO EXPECT –

If you’ve never worshipped at Central or if you’ve never been to church, we invite you to give it a try.We know you may be a little nervous, but we think you’ll feel at home in no time. At the start of service, simply enter the front doors, where you’ll be greeted by one of our ushers or Deacons, who will hand you a copy of our service program and church announcements. Sit anywhere you are comfortable.

Together, we seek to discover God’s presence in our lives and in our world—and to rededicate ourselves to loving God by loving our neighbors.

Meet Our Pastor

Reverend Christopher Ney

The Rev. Christopher Ney was called to serve at Central’s pastor in August 2009. With more than twenty-five years of ordained experience, he has served congregations in Massachusetts and New York City. He has served as a community organizer, fundraiser and advocate with several nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on the National Council of Fellowship of Reconciliation.
