Central Congregational Church,

United Church of Christ

Newburyport, MA

The Rev. Dr. Christopher Ney, pastor

Pastor's Preview

Dear Friends,

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? What does it mean to serve the work of Christ in the world? These are the questions that our scripture reading this week helps us answer. They follow naturally from last week’s readings about the identity of Jesus and the meaning of Messiah. This week, an argument between Jesus and the disciples gives us an opportunity to understand more deeply what it means to follow the path of Jesus. I hope you’ll join us for a sermon that I’m calling, “A Child in Their Midst.”

Grace and peace,

Chris
