SERMON PREVIEW

Beloved church,

The season of Lent began on Wednesday when we gathered with ashes to remember the limitations of our humanity and the boundless grace of God's love for each of us. On Sunday, we worship on the first Sunday of Lent and we hear the story of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness. The wilderness is always present in our world and in our lives. Sometimes it beckons us and we enter voluntarily. But at other times, we are thrust into the wilderness unprepared. The promise is that God is always with us. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday and a sermon that I'm calling, "The Wilderness Awaits."

Grace and Peace,

Chris

WORSHIP BROADCAST

In-person worship service in the sanctuary and live-stream broadcast begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. We share communion on the first Sunday of each month. Please note that we have had technical problems with our broadcast equipment. We are working to resolve the issues and appreciate your patience as we seek to restore full broadcast capabilities.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION JOB SEARCH

The Christian Education Committee is advertising a position for Family Ministry Coordinator. If you would like more information about this opportunity or would like to share this opportunity with a friend, please contact a member of the CE Committee.

LENTEN SOUP SUPPER AND PROGRAM

During the sacred season of Lent, we take time to deepen our faith by nurturing our relationship with God, our neighbors, and ourselves. Our soup and bread suppers for Lent are one of the ways that we do that. This year, the focus of our program will be Jesus' teaching in Matthew called the Sermon on the Mount and the theme of peace. Please join us Wednesday nights at 6:00 on March 4, 11, and 18.
